St. George Church – Kotsica

The concept was to transform the entire church into a unified work of art in mosaic and stained glass, drawing inspiration from the great European cathedrals where no surface is left unspoken. The dome anchors the composition with the Pantocrator, Christ at its centre, as He is the centre of the world and its people, surrounded by the four Evangelists: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, whose gospels tell one story from four perspectives that complete one another. Above the sanctuary, the Crucifixion and Resurrection stand side by side, Christ bearing the cross in His hand, declaring the core doctrine of the faith, that death was answered with life. Along the columns, hand-crafted mosaic angels replace conventional decorative patterns, turning structure into scripture. Every element, dome, apse, columns, and stained glass windows, reads as a single, continuous narrative in glass and stone.
